A wonderful COLOR Kriegsmarine - Flag themed Postcard - Maybe the Bismarck?

    Hi everyone,

Just added this original 3rd Reich era COLOR card to my collection recently. It really struck my fancy with it's combined Kriegsmarine & Flag theme...in COLOR!

A question for you KM collectors, any idea which battleship this might be? Any chance that it is the Bismarck?

Hope you guys like this card. Original color cards always get to me

    Best regards,
    John

Judging by the writing at the bottom it shouldn't be the Bismarck or her sister as the postcard says 35,000 T and the Bismarck was up at the 50,000 ton mark. I did think it might of been the Gneisenau or Scharnhorst as they weighed around 38,000 tons but that said the ship in the picture does seem to bear more similarities with the Bismarck then with the other two. Maybe the postcard mentions 35,000 T to keep Bismarck's true weight a secret from prying nations?

Ostensibly, Bismarck was listed as the 35,000 tons to comply with the Anglo-German Naval Agreement of 1935.
