          Ok guys, was not aware of that, was curious about the writing on the back.

          Not trying to con anyone here, its only £5 !!

          Why would the russians want to produce such a pucture?

            Uh, pretty sure they didn't...I think the deal is to make it LOOK like the russians did to give it legitimacy.

              Ok no worries, but my thoughts are if someone is going to fake a german photograph, then why not use german writing on the back?

              As i have said, i am not trying to con anyone with it, i do not collect photographs, i should have asked for opinions first before putting up for sale.

              I have asked it be removed or put in Bizarre section.

                It was such "provenance"... It sounds like russians "opened their archives" and those photos came to the market. Search using "Russian Archives" keywords in the "Photos and Paper Items Forum" - you will find many similar photos...

                  Ok, Thanks Andrew for the information, i did not intend to offend anyone in this section, i really thought it was a period photo, one lives and learns as it were !! constantly !!
