Things are getting a little hotter. coming under enemy attack.

Hmm Period photo and a nice one at that but as combat shot I have my doubts.

Not all of the men have battle gear 'Helmets, rifles etc.' on and they are smiling for the camera. The two in the small boat look like they are out for a rather dull Sunday paddle.

The photographer is standing up (not a thing to do while under fire)

Perhaps taking during a training session.

The round splash looks real enough but could be a grenade or alike

Just my two cents.

Any more shots in the series???

sadly these were the only two.
both slides were marked Frankreich 1940. So thats why I mentioned combat.
But to be honest you could be right.
Maybe they are staying fresh after the battle of france was won and doing some live trainning ?
