The 1.Fallschirmjäger- Division used a devil in their various emblems.
Not the same as yours.. but you might want to look in that direction.
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

        Variation of SCHOLZE Panzergrenadier-Lehr-Rgt. 901???

This emblem looks very close to the later one used by Panzergrenadier-Rgt. 901 in Normandy (see link).

In 1943-44 the 901 was serving in northern Italy fighting partisans prior to assignment to Panzer-Lehr-Division.

zbv500, would it be possible for you to post the entire photo?

        Best regards,
        Mike

            Hi Michael,

thanks for that interesting link. In fact I think its the same emblem and just misinterpreted on the website. In my opinion its also not a man with sword and shield but rather the devil like in my pic, could this be ?

            My best, Jens

              You are correct!

              zbv500,
After going to my link and zooming in on the examples I agree with you that your photograph shows a clear example of this unit emblem for the 901, a devil with spear, wings and a tail and NOT a Saxon warrior!
Thank you so much for sharing.
              Best regards,
              Mike
