Participated in 1940 in the Narvik campaign
Looks like he was active in a secondary capacity (KVK)

Could be stuka, but could also be from one of the KG involved at narvik. KG 26, KG 30. Perhaps even, though less likely, KG 40.

Given the rank, i'd look at one of the gescjwader kommodors or perhaps gruppen kommandeur.

There is one rather poor one in Hildebrand's 'Die Generale der Deutschen Luftwaffe'


During the Norwegian campaign he was initially Ia of the X Fliegerkorps before becoming gruppenkommandeur of II./KG 26 for the last week of the Norwegian campaign. Essentially he was a staff officer, as you can see by the KVKI and got the DKiS on the 10.5.45

Many thanks for the help and replies-I have a series of three pictures here-all 9.5cm x 6.5cm on agfa brovira paper.

They are outside my collecting field so will tick them on the estand.

Sorry to ask but could some kind soul help me with a realistic and fair price. Cannot find any others for comparison so any help would be very much appreciated
