    Death citation

I like to see other pieces like this and found how much delays between death and the sending of this type of Urkunde, mine comes from an Obergefreiter killed in the East Front on January 14th 1.942 so it takes almost two years to reach his family.

    Cheers

Looking for DKiG Heer winner Soldbuch who also won the TDB and/or CCC, specially in Silver.

Delay in the delivery of such document was also a question from this G.D. forum thread

      Hello Angel:
I have such a document dated May 1943, unfortunately no date of death. My theory is that this document was initiated during that year and issued to the bereaved family retroactively once available to the parent unit. Due to the mounting losses with the great administrative workload involved plus the ever increasing complete destruction of units probably made this undertaking impossible to maintain.
As an aside: the close family member's loss of life on active service on the eastern front in late 1943 ( my future wife's father), did not result in the family receiving such document.
