Hi Gents,

couldn't resist jumping in on this one! I have quite a few pics of berets, but a special favorite is this large framed one from 1939 on my office wall:


Note the early beret cover with the bullion embroidered wreath and metal cockade....and the lack of an eagle. Really a nice portrait!

And another....this one is rather fun....and is one of a series taken with this young lad posing in his father's wrap and beret (his father was an officer)

And finally another "little panzermann" in a beret....but this time a miniature one! This is obviously the son of the unit Speiss and the unit's mascot!

LC summer hat in wear

Not a beret but fine and unusual ! Seen on Ebay few weeks ago !

That hat can be also seen in use on pic next to page 48 on Hellmut Führing's "Wir funken für Franco". Can you post it here, Jacques?
