Hello.

Although clearly an experienced and brave soldier, nothing really to make him stand out, unless he went on to do more.

What's on the shoulder straps, LAH, DF or something else?

I really don't know cause the photo will arrive in couple of days.
I think that it could be also an aesculapian emblem (but he is clearly wearing infantry shoulder boards).
What do you think about it ?

Obviously we would need to see more more to say if the photo is original.

The Hitler Jugend badge gives an indication of age (i.e. when were they issued from so what is his maximum age after having been in the HJ, cut of tunic to identify year - I know enliseted men but struggle with officer tunics, the eagel type, etc).

Nice pointed collars he has!
