Unknown KzS with DKiG

Fellow collectors:

I have a series of photographs of a KzS with the High Seas Fleet badge and a DKiG inspecting a warship and visiting the crew.

Four of the photos are attached for your review. It would be great if anyone can identify him. It is always nice to have a more complete history.

Hopefully someone will recognize him.

I think it's Kurt Hoffmann during his command of the Scharnhorst

Thank you for the lead! That certainly led me down a path to confirm his identity.

Yes! It is KzS Kurt-Ceasar Hoffmann of Scharnhorst. The eight photos I have were taken sometime in the four short months between his award of the DKiG on 20 Nov 1941 and his award of the RK on 21 Mar 1942.
