Request unit ID for SS Feldpost number

An SS postcard sent to Rottenfuhrer Stefan Platz in Dec. 1944,
bears the number 21649/ CE (?). He was found deceased in St
Vith in January, 1945. I suspect he may have been present at
the Baugnez crossroads when the Malmedy Massacre took place.
He had a named item in his wallet, taken from one of the known GI
victims, whose name is on the wall at the crossroads.

I'd assume it has a C after the number, making it the 2 kompanie of SS-panzer-pionier bataillon 9 from the 9 SS-Pz.Div.

Thanks for responses

The SS corporal in question had in his wallet a savings stamp book
for U.S. War Bonds, with the name of one of the Malmedy victims
(and his serial #) written on the book in fountain pen blue ink. The
deceased SS trooper was wearing leather pants, leading the GI
who searched him to believe he was perhaps a motorcyclist.
