    Various letterhead paperwork

    Hello forum

I was going through some paperwork in my collection... and decieded to sell off this lot.

just wondering as to value on what you see. there are creases, dog eared papers, and even tears to some pieces.

I believe the last piece of letterhead (once folded in half) came from Goerings HQ (per a vet I met many years ago).

the other stuff came from a vet that was in Austria and took papers from a police station.

    thanks for the help Robert

            Hi Robert,

As you probably already know, the Chief of the Reichschancellery was Dr. Hans Heinrich Lammers, who headed one of the four main departments in the Reichschancellery; and the last Gauleiter of Salzburg was Dr. Gustav Scheel. Sorry I can't give you suggestions for pricing these blank letterhead sheets, though they are indeed collectible. Each comes with a time and a place, and a unique history all its own.

            Best of luck,

            Br. James

              Thanks for your help.

I wasn't aware of Dr. Lammers. The vet claimed it was Goerings.

              Best wishes Robert

My pleasure, Robert. It's true that Hermann Göring was a Reichsminister (without Portfolio) in Hitler's original Cabinet in 1933, but he never had any office space at the Reichschancellery. That's not to say that he wasn't well-represented in the Wilhelmstrasse Government District, however: he was President of the Reichstag located a block north of the Chancellery, and also both Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior for Prussia and these offices were located a block south of the Chancellery, and Göring's new Reichs Air Ministry complex would soon be built on that same block.

                  Thanks for your help.

                  any idea as to value?

$5 to $20 per page? not really sure.

                  Robert

It's very hard to place a value on such material. I have a number of sheets of blank letterhead from various people and organizations which I've collected over many years. I suppose it depends on how much the owner originally paid for each piece, as much as how much the potential buyer is willing to spend. If it is of any help, the least I've paid was $7.00 for a blank piece of letterhead from a kreis-level office, and the most was $75.00 for a blank sheet of letterhead from Goebbels' private office at his Wilhelmstrasse Ministry -- with a whole range of prices representing other offices in between! Both of the prices quoted were the results of auction bidding, for whatever that's worth. Again, hope this is helpful information for you.
