Looks like a poor attempt of a Göring signature....he would not sign a DK document! Plus he was Reichsmarschall from 19.7.1940.

Did the Luftwaffe actually use these A5 documents? I thought these were Army/SS......Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine made use of the larger document!?!?!

Lt. Walter Herrlau did exist however and was awarded the DKiG on 23.2.1943.

          Who has signed the document?
Hermann Göring but I have doubts that is his own signature.

Oops, I forgot to mention that the expertise is just for the award (which is partial original). Better pictures at the moment impossible.

Not to mention "Leutnant" is spelled wrong...

                      ..

I would agree that this is bad. It does appear to be a poor attempt at Gorings signature and way off I might add.

I agree with what is written above, and in my opinion the award document itself is also a fake one.

Thanks to all of you. I was really interested in buying the award as it seems to be a bargain but I have a bad feeling about it (even with the Niemann expertise).

                          Therefore

                          Regards
