    EKII Document

    I got a question about an EKII document i got with a Soldbuch grouping.
    Its been issued by the OKH.. is that common? why would an EKII document be issued and signed by such "high" guys and not the local company leader?
    This one looks to be signed by Keitel (or in his name?).
    I wonder why this soldier got his EKII document this way..

    I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
    Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

      But was it normal for a common soldier to get an EKII document from him or the OKH?

          OKH even had their own variant of the EK (and KvK) citation as seen here with this one to a member of a RAD unit and signed by Ernst Maisel...
