    Tiny little Propaganda Booklets

    Folks,

this was another catch I made ... 4 little WHW propagande booklets:

    Der Fuehrer
    - und Mussolini
    - und die Wehrmacht
    - und seine Heimat
    - macht Geschichte 1934

Pretty good condition, 3 of 4 strings still attached - only one with a kink.

    What do you think?

    Thanks,

    Kev

        Tiny little propaganda booklets.

        Hi.

As you have stated, these are WHW items, mostly they were published in sets of five.

"Der Fuhrers Kampf Im Osten" 1-5 covered the Polish invasion.

Another set comprised of the titles "Der Fuhrer macht Geschichte 1933", through to "DF macht Geschichte 1938" which makes six books; although there may be a "1939" title which would make seven - I'm not certain on this point!
Perhaps a more knowledgeable member could clarify this?

All the above were published to raise funds for the Winterhilfswerk.

Another set, designed to raise money for The German Red Cross, were entitled "Der Fuhrers Kampf in Norwegen" ,"Belgien", "Holland", "Frankreich" and "Zur See".

There is a set of twenty slightly larger booklets of Knight's Cross Holders, released for WHW in 1942-43 on the "Tag Der Wehrmacht" and these tell the story of how the recipients earned their Crosses.

I believe two more sets exist, but am not sure of how many were issued in each set. One is of German songs "love", "soldat", etc and the other I think is of children's fairy stories. Again perhaps a more informed member could help?

All I know is I have a great many of these titles and it's a real pain tracking down the few I hav'nt got in my collection!

Thanks a lot for this info!

So basically the one's I have are just some lose pieces of a the sets and there are a lot more ...

Maybe the wrong items for me then ... although they look neat.

I'll take some inside shots the next days.

            Hey Nick,

here you go - I did misuse an SA-dagger as page holder, please excuse

Just did a few pictures and tried to capture the highlights.

            Have a great Easter,

            Kev
