    General der Flieger Stulpnagel

Here is a autographed photo from my collection of General der Flieger Otto von Stulpnagel. Any help deciphering the inscription would be appreciated. Stulpnagel was Military Commander of France from 1940 to 1942 and also held the rank of General der Infanterie (1940). He committed suicide in 1948 in Paris while in French captivity.

      Thanks, Erich.

My German dictionary does not have the word "Andenkung" in it -- but could this mean "memory" or "remembrance" as it appears close to "Andenken"?

          Thanks...

Many thanks, Erich. Nice to know.

Can you make out the inscription (which I assume to be a city name) to the left of the date?

                Hi Mike!

A very nice pic indeed! I think the place to the left of the date is Gatow.

                Regards,

                VJK
