RUSSLAND - German Map 1941

Hi everybody !

Bought for a single € this german map of the USSR.




A piece of this map has been cutted but it seems original because of the pins marks at the 4 corners.

The ownner had written his name in the right top corner.

There are red and blue pens marks, some of them follows the frontline !
Something tactical ?

Uh I think it's a part of the equipment of a soldier because it's written Wehrmacht and Oberkommando der Wehrmacht (the last one is not visible on my map).

The map is called "Tornisterschrift" - satchel booklet.

Those booklets (and maps) have been distributed by the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht to

the soldiers for their private use.

Does someone know what means the red and blue marks, and what is written in the top right corner on it ?

I think I can read "Obgefr. Weiß" up in the right corner - Obergefreiter Weiss, the name of the owner

The red and blue lines could be marking the frontline or occupied areas.
