196th Pioneer Battalion Photos

I recently bought 100 photos that belonged to a soldier from the 196th Pioneer Battalion. In it are photos from Germany, France, and Russia. Ill be posting the pictures when they arrive in a week. But before I do, I was just curious if anyone knew anything about this battalion. I found information on the division that it was attached to, just not the Btl. Thanks!

I have scanned a few of the pictures. I will get the rest done in the following days. Only some of the pictures have places on them. If anyone is doing research on this particular battalion, you may ask me if there is writing on the back of the photo you are interested in and I will check if the soldier named it. Please do not post in this thread until all photos are uploaded. I will let you all know when that is. So, here are the first couple of pictures.
