    Russian Print?

I got this off ebay the other day for a very small amount of money. It said in the description that it was in a Russian collection for a long time. I read somewhere on here that the Russian scribble pictures are fakes? I couldnt scan the ink stamps, but you can see a singnature and scribble. The stamps are in blue ink. If anyone can tell me anything about this, Id appreciate it. Thanks!

    Sam,

Seems to be a "Russian Archive" fake to me.

Have a look at it here on WAF, such photos were discussed here several times before.

Thanks Eric-Jan! I just cant understand why they would fake such a simple picture, and why it would sell for 0.99. Guess its my first fake photo for my collection!

SEE Page ONE of this posted link. I posted an example of this "Scribble mark" referring to the Russian Archive photos as well as some other known fakes.

          Question Gents,
By 'fake' do you all mean copies of originals, or newly photographed originals made to look old ?

          Thanks, IAC.
