    Der Fuhrer's Signature ?

I need you guy's expert opinions on this document signature. It's some kind of 50th wedding celebration document . It has the pressed seal at the bottom. Can you tell if its a signature or autopen from the pics ? Looks pertty uniform in ink thickness/color to me . Im thinking autopen. What would be an approximate value of this document ? It measures approx 10x14 " . Thanks .

I can't comment on the value or the signature but here is roughly what it says. Sorry for my poor translating skills, never done it before, just thought I'd try to help out a fellow Craig. cheers

To the rare celebration of the golden marriage I send you and your wife my most cordial greetings. I hope and wish that you two may still be in the presence of your family in your life's twilight.

Yup, it's an official recognition of this couple's Golden Wedding Anniversary. I would say a printed signature.

The signature is without any single doubt a printed/stamped signature and not hand signed by Hitler.

I agree; it appears to be a standard printed signature. I don't believe Hitler ever used an autopen as FDR did; his signature is either found as an original autograph or as printed on a document. There must have been thousands of these civil anniversary documents created during those years -- in fact, I believe that US citizens today who celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary or attain a venerable age receive similar congratulatory documents from the President. A very nice gesture, I've always thought! And it's nice to see the Great Seal of the Third Reich incorporated into this document.

I have been told that Hitler did use an autopen for signature work. Most of the large RK documents after the summer of 1940 are auto pen signed.

You can tell its printed because there is no increase in ink density where the strokes cross over.
