Thankfully there hasn't changed much in the last 70 years. Most of the Houses are still standing - even the big one on the far right.
Here's a current photo of the scenery taken a bit bellow

It's a damn shame what's left of the Junkerschule / Flint Kaserne

If you want me to check something, let me know. Normaly I'm once a week in Bad Tölz.

    Cheers,

I agree - when I was there in 2008, I found a Bank in the center of the courtyard!

Thanks for the nice memories. I spent very much time at Bad Tolz, Lengrees, and those mountains when I was assigned to the 1st BN 10th SF GP.

                Great Photos

                Hi Scott,

Thanks for posting this rare selection of photos. Flint Kaserne pretty much looked like your Wartime photos in the 60's when my family lived there. They bring back many memories. A heavy snowfall in April 1945 saved the Kaserne from bombing. This photo is a U.S.Army release taken later in 1945.

                Thanks
                E.

The archway between the two turret towers over the main entrance has now been demolished.
                    Max.

I was there in 1989 visiting the 5th Special Forces Group and I was impressed beeing inside the old Junckerschule and now I think I would cry
