Well the hymnal is A ok but me thinks the ss stamp has runied it as it looks like it was added yesterday.

I have seen a few of these but non with a unit stamp on them, lots with names in them and a few with prayer cards in them etc.

Your Roman Catholic Field Hymnal looks good to me, too, though byterock's comment rings true. The SS stamping is certainly out of place and probably the political eagle and swas stamping on the title page, as well. There was a corps of both Roman Catholic and Protestant (the so-called 'German Evangelical Church,' the Lutheran body that capitulated to Hitler) chaplains in both the Heer and the Kriegsmarine during WWII but not in the Luftwaffe, strangely enough (especially since Göring was married at the Berliner Dom, the huge Lutheran cathedral, with full service and ceremony). And given Himmler's interest in old Nordic religious cults, there was certainly never a Christian chaplaincy of any sort attached to the Waffen-SS!
