    Servus Krim,

Very interesting photograph and formation. Does anyone know why one Zug is wearing Bergmütze and the other is wear helmets?

I have a similar looking GJ General in one of my photos too. They are the same stature and stuff, but I have not been able to identify him either. Your photo shows him alottt better tho. Could be a differernt guy, but I figured i would compare. Hope you dont mind

There were 4 Gebirgs Divisionen that served in Italy

5 Geb Div. Neither Schrank (RKT) nor Steets (DKiG)
        188 Geb Div. Not Hösslin

8 Geb Div which was successor of 157 Geb Div in North Italy. Very much looks like Schricker and "Barbera" + "Savant" seem to fit the bill.

        Cheers

Second one I am at a loss.

Looks very much like August Wittmann but no RK or DKiG

There were also Hochgebirgsjäger Battalions 3 & 4 in Italy.

The second pic (mine) was taken in Norway if that helps any. I only posted it because I thought it looked like Peters (krims) General. I appreciate any help as well tho. Do u think it looks like Walter Stettner Von Grabenhofen? IDK
Also the photo was titled for 1940 when I bought it
