    Who are these LW officers?

Hi guys, can you please tell me, who are these LW officers? Seems they are WW1 veterans. The second name may be Brockmann, but no clue for the first one. I would like to find out the ranks and names, also any detail about their career if possible. Thank you!

The first name I would read "Oberstleutnant Jösting"

      In brackets you can read

      1) (alter Kdr./Kommandeur) - old (former) commander

      2) (neuer Kdr./Kommandeur) - new commander

May be this will help you.

Interesting photo, could you post a close-up of the decorations of the man on the left? He appears to be wearing both a WW1 observer and pilot badges. Both men are WW1 aviators.

OTL on left wearing either the Bulgarian National Order of Merit or Order of St Alexander.

Just to confuse you further, Mil attaché bei der Deutschen Gesandschaft in Budapest was an Oberst Hans Bruckmann from 01.11.37 - 19.12.42

            Cheers

I cut the names only, to be better seen, but the photo is also dated, 11/3. 42. Sofia. How did they write the dates, is it 11 March or 3 November?

Thank you very much for the information! To sum it, the photo is taken in Sofia, Bulgaria. The man on the left is Oberstleutnant Jösting, who is the "former commander" and leaves Bulgaria with a Military Merit order and Pilot badge. The man on the right is the "new commander", Oberst Hans Bruckmann, the former German military attache in Budapest, who has arrived in Sofia to replace Jösting. I just don't know if they were military attache or LW attache in Sofia. Another name that came to my mind is general von Schonebeck, but he was LW attache.

This is the best I could do with the scanner, the photo is tiny!

The German way of writing the date 11 / 3. 42 means 11 March 1942

Aha, thanks, he's wearing a Bulgarian pilot badge.
