Hermann Göring - Werk und mensch

Hi!

Today I bought a book about Hermann Göring. It's a German book with many photos. The first thing you see when you open the book is a text to someone. So I guess this book has been a gift or something. There is also an eagle.
Printed before 1940 I belive.

Can someone tell me more about this book?
What does the text says?

Hi Per,

Is that the Hermann Göring biography by Erich Gritzbach? Is that a dust jacket, or is it soft cover?

I just had a hard bound one with no dust jacket, and sold it for $40. Looking at the internet, it looks like asking prices are all over the place. Looks like a pretty common book, though I had never had one before.

Yes, written by Erich Gritzbach. It has "paper cover" like the picture shows, maybe what you call a "dust jacket".

The text in the beginning is a bit interesting. The name seems to be "Egger". Marking with the eagle says " Gau OstHannover". HELP!!!
