Just picked up my first Kennkarte and I was wondering if they are rare and what they are worth and are they collectible?

This is not for a Pole. All Germans over 18 were required to have a Kennkarte, so they are quit common. Maybe $15-25. A polish version of this would have a red diagonal line and in the bottom block of the second page, it may have a stamp with something like "Schutzanhöriger Polnischen Volkstums."

The Meldorf Landrat (County) has issued the ID card. Meldorf is situated in the northern part of Germany not so far away from Hamburg.
