    I have some press photos in my collection.

    The one in the right button is in some danish books.
    It is a Former Freikorps Danmark soldier, he was badly wounded at Narva.

    The German text says that the young wounded Grenadier in the moment of being bandaged is writing down an important report (Meldung) to inform his Regimental Commander.

      Gerdan you are right he is writing informations to the regimental commander.

      He (name Alfred Jonstrup, oberschaführer) was wounded the 27 october 1944 by a Russian handgranate , some of his jaw was badly wounded therefore he is writing because he could not speak.

      Jonstrup never came back to the front line again. He received the wound badge in silver for the wound.
      And EK1 the 5/11 1944.

      He later in january 1945 received the Ehrennblattspange.

      Jonstrup survived the war and died in 1985 (Not sure)

      He was also fighting in the Finnish-Russian winter war in 1939.
