    picture advice: Presse-Hoffman

    I am not a photo collector but I have about 500 of these pics - luft, krieg,
    political, officers.etc. I received these from a GI, Ludendorf Bridge vet who ended up as a photographer. Are these collectible items or are they mass produced, german commercial pics?

    I've seen similar photos on eBay. I think they were distributed largely for propaganda purposes.

      These types of photos are fairly common and do not have the collectibilty (or value) as press photos do. I personally don't consider these types of photos as your normal press photos which have the caption attached to the backs of the photos. I haven't been able to find what these types of photos were used for.
