    Tychsen Photo - Opinions.

    Hi all,

I just wanted to get a few opinions on this photo of Christian Tychsen...

I cannot make out if it is signed by him as I could not isolate the text sufficiently in photoshop.

The signed back is I assume a recent addition unfortunately.

    Cheers.

If you ask about originality, IMO, it's ORIGINAL photo. Could you also write the size of this photo?

Looks good - text reads "Für meinen Fahrer Stm (Sturmmann) Wald (?) zur Erinnerung, Tychsen". The date mentioned is 1 day after he was KIA - maybee noted by the owner of the foto, with the germanic death-rune.

Very interesting photo, especially the inscription "Karracho" on the panzer. Here is for comparison another photo showing Tychsen standing before a panzer with similar inscription "Karacho!".

Thankyou for the feedback guys.... It is for sale and I have already made contact with the seller to purchase this one.

I dont normally collect photos, but this one stood out for me. Once I enlarged it and saw that it was Tychsen (the seller did not have listed who it was) I thought I gotta grab this one.

That is interesting about the text, obviously a comrade reflecting on a lost friend after Tychsen's passing.

Thankyou for the feedback guys, very much appreciated.

Good period photo. Not in the "best" condition, but who cares?

The writing on the reverse may not be as recent as you expect. Probably before 1960. IMO.

                      Cool pic.
                      Cheers,
                      Jp

                        I like em' salty

And yes, the more I look at the sig at back, it looks older than say just a few years as my earlier comment belied. The ink has bled and it looks fairly well worn...

Tychsen was quite admired by those that knew him. This is probably the 3rd or 4th

photo signed and given by him I've seen. These were taken in the late spring of 1943

soon after his RK award at Kharkov. The one I've posted is a copy.

                          Nice score
