    You can research these questions here using the "search" and "search this forum" tabs at top.
    There are many threads on subject of paper brands with links to outside sources.
    Also see the "pinned" thread above(Photos, period originals, fakes, repros or what ?), it has many links as well.

        Portriga was one of several secret advances in emulsion technology during the war but I'm not sure to what extent it was used.... probably some limited usage.

            As far as I can tell Portrige was created during WW2. I would do more research if it involves a purchase.
