SS panzer portrait in PK size without lines on backside

    Hi,

what do you think about that portrait.
It is a bit larger as a pc, does not glow under UV light.

But I never had a period portrait in postcard size without the PC lines at the backside. Do originals in that style exist, or is that a repro in your eyes?

    Thanks!

I am not 100 % sure, but i think that the face of the soldier looks familiar to me...
It is to me, as if i had seen the photo before!!?

      Best regards,

Edges gave it away for me that's why I said I didn't like it.

              that is, what I expected.

Does one has an original studio portrait in postcard size without the lines on the backside? I did never saw one. All pc size portraits I saw before had them.

Correct. There definitely are PC size photos without lines, etc. Some are simply marked Agfa lupex, brovira, leonar, etc. without any other lines or markings. Some also have nothing on the back....just completely blank. But I dont know how the edges gave it away to some because there are PC sized photos with serrated edges that are originals too. (maybe its the way they are cut that they saw as fake??)

After studying ("quality") studioportraits for some years now, I feel when something is not right at a studioportrait. It are the details that give it away.

You think that all PC size photos without the lines on the backside are FAKES
