    Staffelabzeichen help needed

    just bought this photo of the net.

    but cannot identify the Unit symbol on this Aircraft. looks like a owl.
    what does the K on the Fenders stand for? Komandant?
    any help is much apreciated

      The photo depicts Unteroffizier Heinz Sellhorn photographed at Kharkov-Rogan airfield in May 1943. The "K" on the wheel spats denotes the individual aircraft within the staffel. It would also be seen on the side of the plane with the entire unit designation - in this case S2+KL (aircraft K of the 3rd Staffel in the First Gruppe of StG77).

        So I assume it is a well known photo then?!

        this is the second photo I bought from the same seller.

              recieved both framed photos today and I think I was lucky

              I managed to open one frame (the one I show the backside above) and there is a large AGFA BROVIRA Photo that does not glow under UV.

              I dont want to open the other frame,because it was proffesionally done but I asume I will find the same...a wartime Photo of the "Stukageschwader 77"

              Will add some better photos to this thread over the weekend.
