Dear Chris,
This is probably one of the worst subjects to make jokes about while in the midst of discussion, and I apologize if I have allowed my sense of humor to derail the seriousness here. Decades ago I remember first seeing that now-famous Life Magazine article showing color photos taken of a group of SS-Helfern at their arrest in one of the KZ, and then as now, my first thought was how ugly and brutish those women seemed. It's strange how many of the male SS and other war criminals looked so nondescript, so like any other men who were rounded up and herded into a stockade somewhere, just as their victims were; they looked like the proverbial 'deer in the headlights.' But the female guards seemed to be visibly snarling at the camera, just waiting for the right moment to spring out and attack their captors. I've never doubted for a moment that they looked like what they really were, and that they got just what they deserved.
