"Nazi Death Warrant" ?

Hi,

I was offered this item, named by the seller as a "Nazi Death Warrant". Since I have limited to no knowledge in paper documents thought Id ask you boys (and ladies if your out there)! I guess my question is if this is legitimate and how much a good offer is? Authenticity is most important I dont want something in my collection thats a fake.

Translation:

I just used google translator (if you know a better one it would be appreciated) and it came out:

"For the German People

The Distinguished Service Cross of the Order of the German Eagle First Stage

The Berlin
The Fuhrer"


So Im not really sure where a death warrant comes out of all of that, any advice would be great!

It's in very bad condition and isn't even issued. Is there any particular reason you're interested in it?


just search for 'german eagle order' and you'll find lots of info about this series of awards.

Im new...

Im a new collector and haven't really narrowed down what I really want to collect... Everything Third Riech interests me. So I put adds up looking for things and this was a reply I got and she labeled it with the name below. I knew it wasn't that and wanted to inquire to expand my knowledge.

I knew it was unissued, but wasn't sure what it was. I figured it was a printed signature as obviously Hitler didn't sign every document.

Ill be sure to let her know what she really has.

She said she already got an offer for $200.00 which I thought was bizar for something unissued and coffee stained!!!

Well its good to know everyone goes through this junk - I have received some pretty odd offers.

One of my favorites was a ciggarette card book that the man proclaimed was "Hitlers bigraphy that was only given to the highest ranking Nazi officials". He wanted $900.00 for it!

The best part is when you tell these people what they actually have you get no responses back.
