There was a Tannert (listed as an Oberstleutnant in Lexikon) in command of FJ Rgt 2 from late August 1944 but the first letter seems very forced in this signature. I don't have an example to compare it to though. Hopefully someone from the FJ Section will have a signature to help match it.
From Lexikon here are the commanders from that period...

          Oberst Hans Kroh 16. Dezember 1943 - 17. März 1944
          Major Wildhagen
Oberst Hans Kroh - August 1944
Oberstleutnant Karl Stefan Tannert 29. August 1944 - September 1944

            Gustav,

Sorry to say that in my opinion the round unit stamp is a fake one !

I'd be VERY wary of this. Karl Tannert was indeed a Hauptmann at the time. He was Kdr. of III./FJR.2 and is listed as having deputised as regimental commander from the 29th aug.44 but it's not impossible that he did it on and off prior to that.

Needs to be compared to other FJR2 docs and known examples of his signature.

Why not start a thread in the FJ Section linking it to this one asking for any comparisons/thoughts?

Maybe its the effect of the flash, but the printing on the doc doesn't look right to me either.

Mate, I cannot really say that I like it. Few things are strange here, starting with the stamp.
