Strange print.... at least his appearence + signature seems to be somewhere around the mid 20s.

Could you please take the sheet out and make god pics of front and backside .... What about the frames backside ? From where did you get that ?

What does that K18 mean ?

I wonder if it is a poster for one of the elections he lost before von Hindenburg appointed him to power.

I cant tell u for sure if its pre45. But Edgar Hanfstaengl was Hitlers press liason and published a bunch of period portraits and catalouges. He later became head of the NAZI foreign Press Bureau in Berlin. However, your portrait says FRANZ Hanfstaengl who was a German painter wayyy back in the day. It is very possible that his firm lived on and kept the same name for a while?? My personal guess would be that its good, just from the maker. Just an educated guess....not a sure thing at all. I would start looking for other portraits and prints from these firms and see if you can find another the same as yours!

ps - the rest of the cut off maker mark is FRANZ HANFSTAENGL, Munchen (munich)

I found where your print is based off of. Im sure its a famous portrait of Hitler and on many things.....but here is a period catalog made by the Hanfstaengl firm with the same exact picture as yours on the front of it. So I would say that you have a good one there! IMO

                    check it out: http://www.usmbooks.com/nazi_hanfstaengl_catalog_1.html
