    Help with EKII Citation please

I have an EKII citation and beneath the recipients name it says " Brüke B ( mot ) 31 "
    Dated 18th October 1943

I have been told that this could refer to the ' Heavy Bridging ' section of 31st Pioneer Battalion, which took part in the Kursk offensive.

    Any ideas / thoughts ?

    hi

Brüke B could stand for "Brückenbau" = Bridge Construction
The more usual way to abbreviate it is Brü.B

      Hi

I was thinking about that again and I wonder should it be Brüko B
which is Brückenkolonne B - Bridge Column (train) B with Bridge material type B.

The Bruko B (mot) 31 is listed as part of XII Korps of 2. Panzergruppe of Army Group Centre on the 22nd June 1941 for invasion of Soviet Union and as part of XXXXVIII Pz. Korps of 4th Pz. Group of Army Group South on 28th June 1942.

      Source is Leo Niehorster.

And thus it is not related to the 31. Infanterie-Division, as someone told you wrongly ..
