The seller is a member here, and is in my opinion to trust. Collections are split up often, and I would not be suprised if these pictures are originals.

Collectors often sell off duplicates, the one on the right looks like it was ripped out of an album unfortunately.

Actually I was the lucky one to buy the picture, and I can assure you it is authentic!

I believe it to be an original and frankly the ebay image appears to be much sharper in contrast to your image. It is not unusual to find duplicates of the same photos or portraits. I have encountered many over the years as the original owner i.e., the soldier in the portrait may have had quite a few images made to hand out to family, girlfriends and kamerads.
