"Does anyone recognize the event, and place? Who are the people standing next to HH? It is likely to be a propaganda photo."

i think its himmler laying a wreath on the tomb of heinrich the fowler whom he figured he was desended from or was the reincarnation of....karl wolff in black behind HH....kurt delauge on his right???....they all look a bit embaressed really!...tis a well known pic that has appeared in many books etc...k

place is Memleben in Germany..where ole hein the fowler lived

Daluege does not appear in this photo. He'd stand out as he was very tall.

I do agree that this appears to be one of the several photos showing him at the ceremony for Heinrich the Fowler.

this is not the same event as depicted in the first photo.....it may be the same place ...but not the same event...k

There are certainly uniform differences, maybe one set is a different year at the same location & event.

The tomb of Heinrich I (Fowler) is situated in the Collegiate Church in Quedlinburg where Himmler and the SS since 2.7.1936 (1000 years after the death of Heinrich) every year celebrated a so called "Heinrichsfeier".
