nice awarding ceremony on picture

Hello,


I received today the following nice picture of a group of soldiers ( German offcoarse ) who just earned a " prestigious ? " award +> the war merit cross 2 nd class with swords .

one thing that is very nice to this one when taking a closer look is that for some persons it seems to be their first award but for the others => look at the middle figure, he is already wearing the following awards : wound badge black, Infantery assault badge silver , ribbon for the ek 2 trough the buttonhole of the tunic and last but not least => the Kreta cufftitle !!!!!!.

On the reverse the picture has the following hand written : trifail ( ???? ) Januar 1945 => wich indicates this picture was taken during the beginning of 1945 ( January ) => now a little suestion, Trifail ??? , is it a town ???? , any help is appreciated.

Nice picture, there is a town Trifail in Slovenia (as we all know Yugoslavia during WWII).

Thanks Seba, i think you have resolved my problem => now i have to check howlong the city of Trifail was occupied by the Germans , etc ...

i always like it to have as much info as possible on pieces out of my collection.
