Oil painting Franz von Epp with Pour le Mèrite and SA-NSDAP uniform

    Hello everyone,
I want to post on this rare and very attractive painting. This painting by Franz von Epp (probably made with oil paint) was found by chance in a lot of paper Nazi Germany. The basis on which the painting is a painting made and if you look closely at the painting is the brush marks edon.
The painting is complete and its measures are cm.50.5x70.5cm. and waking up on the corner is the signature of the painter,i believe "Badhofer".
The canvas bag was removed from its rigid support fully,In fact, on the sides of the painting, there are signs of white canvas with fine holes of the nails.
Fortunately, the painting was in a place protected from moisture and the paint is oil, so the painting was preserved even without protection.
Franz von Epp was a hero in World War I, he fought on the front lines of:France,Romania,Serbia and Isonzo (Italy) with the Infanterie-Leibregiment.
His military career took the Pour le Mérite.....this medal is very rarar especially for infantry soldiers!
After the First World War he founded the second freikorps "Freikorps Epp".
During the Second World War he had outstanding achievements in the SA and NSDAP.
After the war he was imprisoned by the Americans in 1946 and died in custody, now elderly 1946.
