What are top quality personal albums worth for leading Nazis, Himmler, Goering, Hess, kind of level?. I know its a bit of an odd question but just trying to get a rough idea of price ranges.

I know an album of the personal room-maid of Eva Braun (her sister was personal room-maid of Hitler) at the Berghof, but the son would not part with it...

"Just" a soldier isn't anything I'd use to describe Max Wünsche.
But maybe I'm wrong as stupid money is paid for Himmler material, a moron with minimal IQ to match his personality as a bureaucrat.
I'd pay a lot more for a Waffen-SS Oakleaves winner's material than for equal type "top Nazi" material. Same for equivalent Oakleaves holders from other services, though in Waffen-SS most collectors know Peiper, Dietrich and Wittmann only (and what they know isn't much).

Mark, I agree with you that insofar as actual historical value, a photo album of a significant, highly decorated combat leader most likely trumps Nazi bigwigs. But like you say, there are plenty of people out there willing to pay huge sums for memorabalia associated with the inner circle.
If someone tried to sell an album of ~50-100 unpublished private photos of Goebbels/Himmler/Hess (and provenance was solid), I'd be highly surprised if it didn't go for > $20K

And the "just" at Wünsche was to show is lower ranking position, thats all.
