Gun-carriage (?) with skids attached - help

Hello! Need some help to ID this device - any ideas what is this? It looks like a gun-carriage to me, if so any help with gun model?

Hi there,

The gun is a 7.5cm leichte Gebirgs IK 18, or 'light mountain infantry canon 18', which was a lighter mountain version of the le IG 18, which saw service from 1927 to 1945.

It's a geschutz like the regular version rather than a canon.

In many photos you'll see it in the field without it's shield. If you take a look at the north norway 2010 thread in the living history forum you'll see photos of a shield to one of these guns i found this year, clearly left behind as being surplus to requirements.

Hi,

Apologies, it is indeed a 'le Gebirgs IG 18', (not 'IK') as there was a typo in my reference (German Artillery of WW2 by Ian V Hogg).
