Two Interesting Tank Destruction Badge Photos....

A good friend of mine just picked up these two interesting (and matching) Tank Destruction Badge photos. The first one may (?) be a photo from a "low-key" presentation ceremony of the TDB's. Note "Heavy Metal" on their chests and the "U-Boat" style beards.....

Very nice photos. Photo 1 shows they are wearing Panzer Assault Badges, so they are probably panzergrenadiers.

Would say members of 6 Th Panzer Division (Raus).
Propably Stalingrad area.
Jason is the expert on Stalingrad maybe from 4 Pz Gdr Regt(Oberst Unrein)
or 114 Pz Gdr Regt(Oberst Zollenkopf)

It can't be Guderian because these photos show winter 1942-43 at the earliest, and as we know, he was in enforced retirement at this time.

Can anyone positively identify the Officer in this photo ???

*** Note the pen in the Officers hand and what could be (??) an award document, possibly a notepad due to its thickness (but that could just be mis-leading due to the camera angle)...

I'm sure it's still the same general in the previous picture: Erhard Raus.
