Death Card Question

I occasionally browse on Ebay for death cards and every once in a while i come across this type of card....it states the man as one thing on his card and yet his uniform is something else..is this what one would call a "faked" death card? In this case he is wearing a luftwaffe uniform but the cards states he is a SS Panzer Grenadier...I guess no one told him..

Hello ,
I don`t think its a kaked one .Maybe he first was in Luftwaffe and changed
then to Waffen-SS .You can find him in www.volksbund.de as died in a Lazarett as Schütze .Any dates are okay .And Schütze is I think SS-Schütze
but as you know in Germany you official don`t have to use the SS Letters .

I have had a number of SS Memorial Death Cards in the past and many of them had a photo of the SS mann in RAD/Party or previous service in Army or Luftwaffe uniform. There could be several reason why this occured. The family may not have had many photos of him in SS uniform and used one from his previous service or they chose not to use a photo of him in SS uniform. Bill Petz
