Nice little group to a member of an anti-tank company fighting with Army Group Center. The double EK2 award is pretty uncommon.

But how does one know if the photo belongs to the documents.

Also see that the award documents are placed in the same branch-marked sleeves, but the photo is placed in a different one.....

Yeah, i was thinking myself that two iron crosses is pretty uncommon, never seen before...
About the photo, you are right, there is no proof that this person was the owner of the award papers. I only trust a guy who offered them to me as we have a long partnership and he never brought me down.

Nice little group. The two EKII are of course just one award, very unusual but you do see this from time to time, especially with wound badges.

As for the photo, i see no reason why it isn't the same man.

People don't really like answering that question as there have been times in the past when an estimated value/price was asked for & given which didn't fit in with the perceived price that the owner was expecting to hear which didn't go down well, plus everyone has there own ideas of a fair price.
Considering the condition of 2 of the citations and that none of them are signed by any of the 'big names' I'll go out on a limb and say that a fair collector-to-collector price is around £180-220.

Thats a nice grouping and I think sometimes we have to have a little faith and trust that the pic is the actual guy mentioned on the documents. I would be interested in purchasing that group from you if you are thinking of selling it...just PM me.

Can anybody be actually awarded with two EKII or having to award papers is just for one cross for some reason?
