        Hallo Lacky:

May I add my thanks for such an interesting collection.

Very rare, I might add. Once in a while, you can find a collection of photos on a mass surrender of German Forces but not often. I saw one collection years ago when the German Forces surrendered in Austria and it was very similar in photo content.

The Magazine Wheels & Tracks also had a few odd photos of vehicle dumps after the surrender in Italy and Holland, but nothing like these photos.

I would like to point out one of your photos shows a British Bedford truck which was a "True Survivor". It must have been captured in 1940 in France or Belgium and it looks almost as new.

Do you know how many men surrendered in this town?? From the photos it looks like thousands, perhaps many more than that. Was it a Division or perhaps a whole Army??

        Thanks again for sharing.

        Bill
