So it would seem to be a fake!
It has an SS postmark which is unclear and was posted in Augustdorf, which does not seem to correspond with your research.
The postmark could have been added to make it more interesting.

The other possibility you mentioned of 55009 doesn't tally either...

(1.5.1942-19.10.1942) 7. Staffel Kampf-Geschwader 100.

The L at the start of your FpNr indictaes that it is a Luftwaffe number.
