Hello, this is 100% "russian archives" fake (but as I see now fakers do them without stamp on the reverse and after cutting they also cut it using scissors) - just see the cutting. Try UV-test on it: you will see how it glows

I have to get a UV-lamp, thank you for your advice.
Normally i only pick up old postcards but i saw this portrait with no immediate red flags(i am a new to this ) such as a suspicious stamp.

I spend around €12 on this card so no real harm is done.

          Hello Andrew,
I agree, it's not looking good. One question; are you 100% sure it will glow?
Also, I'm sure you agree, not all fakes glow.

          regards,
          Jp

Yes, not all fakes glow - but this will 100% glow... All "russian fakes" glow because of paper that fakers use

I don't think this is an russian archive but just a normal print from another photo or print. An UV-light lets the new paint (due some residue) glow. But I will keep saying that UV light is useless. Things can light up due various reasons to what happened to them in all those years - if not during the fabrication.

No, this photo is a GREAT example of "russain archives" fakes. They just stop to using stamp on reverse and make the cutting better - that's all... UV-test is not a panacea BUT it help, really help...

It is a well known portrait of Otto Baum.

yes I own it (??), it is inscribed to me and signed by Baum

Below me with Baum, he wrote the Foreword to several of my books.
