SS Leithefte, value?

Hi there. A Swedish collector has offered me 2 so-called "SS-Leithefte" for $80,00 each. I've googled those magazines and found one on this page:

Seems to me that those magazines are pretty expensive. Is there a collectors market for them? I've searched the forum but nothing has shown up.

Yes,
there is a market for them.
Some go for a lot more.
This one in the thread is I believe, one of the slimmer WAR editions, which at one time meant it would cost less.
However, nowadays it is not so easy to find them any cheaper anywhere.
Some like to have the auslander editions (for the Germanic foreign legions )
which usually an "e" at the end of Leitheft usually means.--As I remember.
There were also Germanische Leithefte and SS Vormingsblad and others that were more or less the same type of magazine/heften

There are some who make a point of collecting these:
They were a mix of ideological and SS kultural ideas and also gave an advice forum like the old USA newspaper column " Dear Abby" for soldiers in dealing with girlfriends , etc.

Does seller claim them to be original? If original, $80 is a good price.

Yes, beware of repros. if i'm not mistaken, there was a thread not too long ago about these Leithefts being reproduced. The front cover looks convincing but the insides were blank pages or something!
