Hello Roya
I do not feel I am expert enough to comment on the Himmler signature even though I have a few myself.
But I do have some old info and suspicions that the SS Oberbayern book plate has been sold as a reproduction, i think it was sold before as a repro in Scandinavia.
I also dont like that a disreputable website "GermaniaInternational" has produced seemingly an inexhaustible supply of nazi era books with this version of bookplate already in it.
Now this does not mean your bookplate in this particular book is a fake, but it is a factor to consider.
I would really like an expert on bookplates to answer, but there will probably be none on WAF.
So instead, lets hear from some SS Stempel(SS stamp) collectors on whether the Stemples are any good.
I hate to say it but there is a chance it is all totally a fake where they "tried too hard," throwing in every bell and whistle.
By the way, what is the title and content of the book itself, as this may be interesting also, even if all the markings, etc are fake.
Sincerely,
MF
Sorry but the signature is definitely no good, every detail about it is wrong. Himmler never signed that sloppily for one thing and had a much more angular signature.
That signature is indeed very bad. It looks very much like those on germaniainternational's "super rare gestapo Himmler documents". I assume that was the source for this book to?
